Thursday's Image- Blog

A weekly Image to promote better photography.

POST 40

Early morning dew, just right for a May morning (well, maybe not for the spider).

POST 39

Me and my friend here, were playing hide and go seek, from one another. I was over at Herrick Lake. He was  better at it than me. But, I did manage this shot, of a beautiful Great Blue Heron.

POST 38

So, as not to confuse you. I was not on the ground looking up at this flower. It was in a basket about 6 feet off the ground, and all I had to do was look up and shoot. I believe that the subtle gray gradients in the sky really set a nice background for this image, with just enough contrast to clearly define the subject yet not overpower the viewer. A little on the `low key' side.

POST 37

This looks like an ideal spot to sit and contemplate the world. It was taken around (?) Big Rock, at the Morton Arboretum.

POST 36

This guy is looking for the coat check girl, so he can climb out of his winter gear and enjoy the spring weather.

POST 35

This is just an extension of POST 33, exuding the fragrance and beauty of these bloosoms.

POST 34

This piece of timber has seemed to have called it quits. Just standing, alone, waiting for nature to run her course.

This was taken at the Morton Arboretum, just after entering the west side of the park.

POST 33

The first "Big Buds" of the year. Captured over at the Danada Horse farm. There is a very pretty Magnolia tree just off the main House, were this was taken.
