This was a sunny morning, earlier this week, over at the Blackwell Forest Preserve. I have been a a little disappointed with the amount of color and vibrance this fall, but you can't win them all.
Thursday's Image- Blog
A weekly Image to promote better photography.
POST 63
I was fortunate enough to capture the Silver Lake Oger, rising from the depths, while I was visiting the Blackwell Forest Preserve. He had his eye's closed at the time so I added some pupils just to make him look more menacing (as he does normally).
POST 62
The color is beginning to propagate, this shot was taken over at Blackwell Forest Preserve. There are a number of trees that seemed to have turned earlier than most, but maybe in another week we might be able to enjoy the full pallet of color, out there in the woods.
POST 61
Touchdown..................please remain in your seats until we reach the cornfield.
POST 60
Continuing on with my "Fermi" theme. One cannot travel the paths of Fermilab and not take a photo of the Buffalo. Although, this time I made a few adjustments, which I did by removing a fence in the foreground and a line of trees in the background. I replaced the tree's with a little more prairie and then injected some age using the Nik filters (Analog & Silver Efex Pro2 ). Thus delivering my viewer back to the 1860's prairie(I hope).
What did mama buffalo say when her youngest went off to college? .............. "Bison!"

It's Two for Thursday today. The first time ever done in this blog, believe it or not. This thursday I chose the Tractricious Sculpture from the Fermilab. I think it is much more interesting from up close, rather than from a distance (see photo). http://history.fnal.gov/photos/trac.jpg
THAT'S ALL FOLKS
POST 58
This shot was taken at Graue Mill. The mill itself is just out of frame, on the right side of the image. The Salt Creek cascades over this small waterfall and then turns the water wheel, when it is working.
It was early morning and the sunlight illuminated the mist created by the tumbling water, and provided a wonderful scene.
POST 57
This is an extension of last weeks image with 2 Morning Glory's about to bloom, with this weeks shot of the end product(with a nice vine for accent).
