This is the East branch of the Dupage River as it flows south, through the Morton Arboretum.
Thursday's Image- Blog
A weekly Image to promote better photography.
POST 127
This would be my Alien Landscape on a moon which circles an exoplanet around the star Arcturus. Or, it could be a bunch of stumps in a planting bed over at Blackwell Preserve. The stars you see in the background are actually bits of snow, blown up by a swirling wind. Add a few filters and "Wallah" you have your alien landscape with radiation proof habitats.
POST 126
It was a pretty Blue day for photography when I shot this image. The graphics that the tree presented really interested (line, shape, texture) me. Removing it from the background was the part I was worried about. But, all went wel, and I got the clouds to come out in post production. And the finished image came out with a rather surreal facade.
POST 125
A little broken and misplaced Ice, along a trail at the Blackwell Forest Preserve.
POST 124
I was standing in the Coffee Shop at the main entrance to the VA Hospital when I happened to gaze outside through the rear windows. There is a lot of construction going on there over the past year and it continues. Anyway, I saw the scene and immediately thought of something grungy. So that is where my interest lied.
...... a little sharpness, several filters and Uma Thurman walking towards the camera clutching a big sword, I haven't spoken to Uma yet.
I took the shot with my Ipad and processed it with the Snapseed app.
POST 123
A tree line at the West DuPage Woods. I believe I did most of the post production work on this image on my Ipad, and then brought it into Photo Shop to finish it off.
POST 122
I'm presenting this "Bridge over Muddy Waters", as a good representation of our weather lately. I am actually pulling for some snow, just to break this dark and dank scene.
POST 121
A frozen pond in the Green Valley Forest preserve. Very wintry, with the snow clinging to the tree's and the soft gray sky's muting of all the colors..
