This Coneflower (?) was found by me, at the Mcdowell Grove Forest Preserve. It was bathed in a little warm sunlight with alot of shadow. I did my best to emphasize both sides of the spectrum.

Here we have some high water in the west branch of the Du Page river from last June. This was taken at the McDowell Grove forest preserve on a warm and sticky midwestern day.

I often wonder what the significance is between the top of the leaf being so green, and the bottom being so pale? Perhaps one side is for heating and the other for cooling? I also wonder how the leaf got bent like it is? ......I also do not believe …
