Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

The grey days of Winter have arrived, at least we have a little snow to encapsulate the landscape and brighten the view. I still miss that burning Orb that saturates our sky’s and creates beautiful highlights and shadows. Chances are it’s still there, we just never see it.

Fluid motion and serenity highlight this image from Graue Mill & Museum, located in Oak Brook, just off of Ogden. There is a working grist mill here and was once a stop along the underground railroad.

This is a shot from Sager Park, located on Plank road which is on the east side of Naperville. It’s a small park but really had some great fall color. It wins my award for the best Autumnal Scene in the area.
POST 135
Sunlight, beaming it’s way across the marsh, on an early fall morning. With a few sunspots that I couldn’t avoid. This was at Lincoln Marsh in Wheaton Il.
POST 134
This is my rendition of a fall landscape. Taken at the McDowell forest preserve. Just to keep life interesting, I added a little graphic zip.

This trail runs past the Archery Range at the Blackwell Forest Preserve, and continues up to Mack Road. Most is forested with a thick growth of trees.I take this shot often but never seem to catch the essence of the scene in front of me. By chance I converted it to BW just to see what it would look like, not expecting much. But, I was impressed the way that eliminating the colors really sets a mood and pulls you along the path and draws you into the distance.
