I have been a bit lackadaisical in the publishing of my Image’s, which the majority of my viewing audience has voiced their displeasure with , so I shall get back on the straight and narrow and be more punctual in my issues.

This guy (above), fooled me at first and I thought he was a butterfly, but it turns out he’s a Banded Damselfly or for the common man, a Dragon Fly. It’s wings are dark and rather dense which confused me.He was part of a merry band that quickly jumped from plant to plant devouring what ever it is they devour.

This was an image shot at the Blackwell Forest Preserve, which is just northwest of me. The results of high water are rather evident, with all the reeds that succumbed to the force of nature.

This little yellow dandy was just waiting for me to take it’s picture. Located at the Contigny Park. I don’t know if these flowers have sprouted from the ground or perhaps been transplanted but they represent a vanguard of color just about to appear…
